More and more mothers are considering breastfeeding
their newborns for at least part of the baby’s early life. Our
Lactation Services offers support and guidance for new mothers as
they decide what is best for them and their baby. Our goal is to make breastfeeding
a positive experience for all new mothers.
Lactation Services offers:
- Prenatal breast assessment.
- Prenatal counseling and
support.
- Postpartum counseling and support.
- Postpartum assistance.
- Telephone counseling.
- Breast pump information and sales.
Common breastfeeding questions:
- Why
should I breastfeed?
- When is the best time to start nursing my
baby?
- How do I know my baby is getting enough to eat?
- How
long should my baby nurse at feeding?
- What can I do about sore
nipples?
- Should my baby have a supplement?
- When can I start
pumping?
- Where can I rent or buy a breast pump?
