Physical Therapy
Physical therapy includes examination
and intervention of patients with neurological, post-operative surgical,
cardiopulmonary and wound/skin disorders. During the patient examination,
the physical therapist performs tests and measurements that provide
information about the status of the musculoskeletal, neurological,
cardiopulmonary, and wound/skin systems and the individual's current
abilities.
The goal of physical therapy
is to enhance movement and function. This happens through the
examination, individual intervention plans, and education about prevention
and wellness.
