Independence Square
Independence Square is a unique part of St. Agnes Hospital’s
rehabilitation services. The 4,800-square-foot virtual community
provides patients an opportunity to get physical rehabilitation using
a “life
simulation” environment.
The unit includes an apartment with a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom. The patient
will also find a bank and ATM, a café, market, gas pump and car, and other
real-life settings. Independence Square challenges patients to improve their
function and mobility while working on every-day tasks.
