The St. Agnes Vascular Laboratory
The St. Agnes Vascular Laboratory, one of the best
of its kind, is fully accredited by the national governing organization,
the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular
Laboratories. The St. Agnes Vascular Laboratory assists physicians
in diagnosing and evaluating circulatory problems through sophisticated
screening procedures using noninvasive methods. It has complete testing
programs for carotid, visceral and lower extremity arterial imaging.
All studies are risk-free and noninvasive. The average length of time for
a procedure is approximately 30 minutes to one and one-half hours.
We offer
five-day-a-week scheduling, and our studies are performed by certified
vascular technologists. Jerome Carr, RVT, is the Laboratory Director,
and Karl Mech, M.D., is the current Medical Director. The policy
of the laboratory is to provide the referring physician with preliminary
reports by telephone or facsimile the same day. Written results,
graphics, and/or photographs are then mailed or delivered to the physician’s office within 72 hours.
Our laboratory is available to all physicians and patients for vascular
disease evaluation.
