Outpatient Rehabilitation
For patients who are recovering from a
heart condition, St. Agnes offers a broad strategy to better health
through the connected disciplines of exercise, modified diet and health
education.
Cardiac Outpatient Rehabilitation Program
Our
Cardiac Outpatient Rehabilitation (COR) Program combines cardiac
education with supervised exercise for patients with various forms
of heart disease, along with those recovering from cardiac surgery.
Working with COR staff members who include a cardiologist, cardiac
nurse specialists and exercise technologists, participants exercise
in a safe, monitored setting. In doing so, they accelerate their
recovery and gain the confidence they need to resume a normal and
active lifestyle.
Lipid Management Program
The Lipid Management Program brings together a multidisciplinary team
of specialists to help people better control their cholesterol.
Depending on your health status, your physician may advise you to
do some or all of the following:
- Lose Weight.
- Switch to a low-fat diet.
- Significantly increase your activity level.
- Quit smoking.
- Take cholesterol-lowering medicine.
These changes are sometimes difficult on your own. Through our coordinated
efforts, we can help you succeed.
