Chest Pain Emergency Department
St. Agnes Hospital developed the first Chest Pain Emergency
Department in 1981. Since then, this model for cardiac care has been adopted
throughout the United States and worldwide.
Chest pain centers are characterized by rapid diagnoses
and response, making it possible to detect and treat heart attacks quickly.
Our staff of doctors and nurses have skills in both emergency
medicine and coronary care. the private, seven-bed facility serves two
purposes: to analyze the early warning symptoms of coronary ailments; and
respond as quickly as possible in the event of a heart attack.
