IPHC (Intraperitoneal Hyperthermic Chemotherapy) is an aggressive surgical treatment reserved for patients with peritoneal surface malignancies. The procedure, which can take up to 15 hours to perform, combines the extensive removal of cancerous tumors with a highly concentrated dose of heated chemotherapy applied directly to the peritoneal cavity.

Because IPHC requires extraordinary skill and stamina on the part of the surgical team, only a small number of hospitals nationwide offer patients this treatment option.

To schedule an evaluation with Dr. Jesus Esquivel, please call the Saint Agnes Section of Surgical Oncology at 410-368-2750 or toll free at 866-844-1869.
