Target Audience
All physicians and nurses involved
in the diagnosis and management of cancer patients.
Goals and Objectives
This program was developed in recognition of the need for clinicians to keep
abreast of current information in cancer treatment. Speakers will present
on Melanoma, gastric, breast and lung malignancies including findings from
major meetings of the year. Also to understand the use of medical genetics,
integrative medicine, nanotechnology and exposure risk in the management
of cancer patients.
Upon completion of the program you will be able to: Describe appropriate
therapeutic approachesto Melanoma, gastric, breast and lung cancers as
well as understand novel management strategies.
Accreditation
St. Agnes Hospital is accredited by the Medical and Chirurgical faculty of
Maryland to sponsor continuing medical education. St. Agnes Hospital designates
this educational activity for a maximum of 5.0 hours in category 1 credit
towards the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim
those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
This program is approvedfor 4.0 contact hours by the Maryland Nursing Association.
