Saint Agnes Foundation Awarded $500,000 in Grants

Thanks to our generous donors, the Saint Agnes Foundation was able to grant nearly $500,000 in funding to Saint Agnes Hospital and its patients last fiscal year. Whether that involved funding needed medical tests, prescriptions and nutritional supplements for uninsured patients; providing scholarships to worthy nursing students or students of Saint Agnes associates; or enhancing Saint Agnes’ medical victories through the funding of research, equipment and education, the Saint Agnes Foundation was there to assist.

Examples of grants provided by the Saint Agnes Foundation last year are as follows:

  • Nurse Work Study Program support
  • Prostate Screening Antigen (PSA) Tests for uninsured oncology patients
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) equipment
  • Seton Keough High School student scholarships
  • My Brother’s Keeper program support
  • Medical seminars for OB/GYN physicians to learn the latest in women’s health issues
  • Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) treatment education
  • Lung Cancer Screenings for patients over 50 years old who smoke
  • Heart Disease Awareness and Prevention Education 

Your Support is Needed

Devoted to healthcare that leaves no one behind, Saint Agnes provides $10-$15 million in charity care and community benefits each year. In addition, the Saint Agnes Foundation awards community grants including those that support terminally ill patients, homeless adults and educational and crisis needs of associates and patients. By donating to Annual Giving, you will be supporting the priority needs of Saint Agnes Hospital, its patients and associates.

 

Funds will be applied to Saint Agnes Hospital’s $212 million project to transform its current campus. This revitalization will feature a new patient tower, redevelopment of our existing patient tower, expansion and reconfiguration of our Saint Agnes Cancer Center, enhanced surgical suites and a redesigned emergency room.
