In Honor of John Singer, M.D.
The event will honor Dr. John Singer, who has dedicated his professional life to educating surgeons and the wider medical community, and the excellence of the surgical residency program at Saint Agnes owes a great deal to his dedication. He served as Director of Surgical Education for nearly 30 years, from 1975 until 2004, while also serving as Director of the Hyperalimentation Team at Saint Agnes from 1983 until 2004. His commitment to the Saint Agnes Foundation has been unflagging, and he has served as Board Member, Treasurer,
Chair of the Grants Committee, and led the Physicians’ Capital Campaign initiative. The Legacy Committee is proud to honor Dr. Singer with the 2013 Caritas Award.
Community Vision, Vibrant Partnerships
At the Gala, plans will be unveiled for the development of the Cardinal Gibbons School property into a vital community asset which will provide recreation, housing, and retail opportunities to our area while still honoring the proud and historic legacy of Saint Mary’s Industrial School, and its successor Cardinal Gibbons School. Saint Agnes has partnered with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and Catholic Charities to create a mixed-use campus which will greatly add to the quality of our organization and benefit our city.
