A Comprehensive Approach to Chronic Pain

Since 1993 the Outpatient Rehabilitation Department at Saint Agnes Hospital has been helping patients with chronic pain live normal and successful lives. The Pain Management program uses a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to help determine the complexities of pain in order to treat the whole patient effectively. The cause of pain can have many origins other than injury and treating pain can prove difficult. Our skilled and dedicated pain management team tailors a holistic and multidisciplinary treatment plan to meet your needs.

Relieving your pain
Any number of injuries and conditions can cause ongoing pain. At Saint Agnes Hospital, we can identify and treat these and other common sources of pain:

  • Back pain
  • Joint pain
  • Chronic regional pain syndrome or Reflex sympathetic dystrophy
  • Neck pain
  • Post-surgical pain
  • Myofascial pain

Our team will work with you every step of the way to help you manage your pain with the overall goal of increasing your quality of life. Depending on your condition you may be a candidate for one of the interventional pain treatments offered:

  • Diagnostic and Therapeutic Nerve Blocks
  • Steroid injections
  • Trigger point injections
  • Indwelling nerve block catheters

Expert Diagnosis and Treatment

When you’re referred to Saint Agnes Hospital, you benefit from an entire team working toward a single goal—to ease your pain. Your caring team includes an anesthesiologist, physiatrist, professional counselor, physical and occupational therapist and pain management nurse. Additional resources are available including a psychiatrist, dietary services and acupuncture.

 

Individualized Care & Attention

Your pain management team keeps you involved and informed every step of the way. We help you evaluate your goals, then design an individual treatment plan just for you. The team will monitor your progress throughout treatment to make sure you’re healing like you should. The team is dedicated to helping you and will work around your schedules to make sure that all of the goals in the pain management process are met despite your busy schedule.
