Sharon shares her weight loss journey.
Sharon had struggled with her weight for years. When she learned that there was another grandchild on the way she decided that it was time to take action. Now, only months after her surgery, Sharon has already lost 80 pounds and is getting back to doing the things she loves, such as spending quality time with her family.
“Now, I have more energy and can do more things with my grandchildren that I couldn’t do six months ago,” Sharon said. Sharon has also seen dramatic health improvements as well. She no longer requires blood pressure medication and has been able to stop taking her cholesterol medication since her surgery.
Her weight loss has given her the confidence to become the President of the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department, an organization that she has been active with for many years. She is also considering joining her church choir. “I am finding that losing the weight has given me back the confidence to do all the things that I love to do,” she said.
