The Cardiovascular Institute at Saint Agnes Hospital has created a variety of programs and screenings to support education initiatives locally, reaching thousands of people each year. The new Women’s Heart Center was created in 2012 to connect with women early on by providing comprehensive screenings paired with one on one consultation with a certified cardiovascular nurse to ensure a clear action plan is in place. The program is designed to help educate women on how they can reduce their risk of heart disease. Our Vascular Screening Program puts control back in the patient’s hands by raising awareness and bringing potential issues to the forefront. The Cardiovascular Institute positions Saint Agnes as one of the leading area hospitals when it comes to cardiac and vascular care. Saint Agnes provides the most up-to-date facilities for cardiac catheterization and vascular procedures, with dedicated operating rooms for these procedures. In addition, our hybrid procedure/operating room ensures that our patients receive the most appropriate care in safe and efficient manner.

Our hospital is home to the very first Chest Pain Emergency Room in the world. Recently expanded, the Chest Pain Emergency Department continues to be the model for Chest Pain centers around the globe.
