 Corey
Gholston
My son Corey Gholston was
born on July 4, 1997 at St. Agnes Hospital. I had the best
experience there when I had him 11 years ago.

and Ayden George
Here is a picture of my
step son Zach George born at St. Agnes in February of 1998
and my son Ayden George was born at St. Agnes in December
of 2007. Your hospital was great when Zach was born
very premature and in the NICU for a long time and my experience
with Ayden was awesome. All the nurses and doctors in all the
areas were great again. Thank you for a great birthing experience.
Keep up the good work—
Thank you. Nichole Holland |

Gabrielle Rowe and Sophia Rowe
This is a picture of my
newest baby girl Ava Gabrielle Rowe. She like her sister,
Sophia (second picture and born in 2004), were born at St.
Agnes Hospital. Fabulous nurses both times. In the first
picture I am holding my beautiful baby with my husband and
friend Tracy Koneval at my side. I had FUN this time and
had a beautiful delivery supported by my husband, fabulous
nurse Tracy, GREAT anesthesia by Dr. Adkisson, and beautifully
delivered by Dr. Leventhal. I could not have asked for a
better experience. Fondly—Chris, Shelly, Sophia and

Amelia Mariel Troll
was born on May 31, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital. We
had a wonderful experience there. Dr. Tom Jones
delivered her and was amazing, as usual. All of
the nurses and staff were so helpful and caring. I remember
a specific nurse, Beth, who was so kind and gave me a
hug when I really needed one. The lactation consultants
were so terrific and supportive, and provided genuine
encouragement without pressure; Patricia helped us so
much. Amelia just turned 6 months old and
is a complete joy. Her smile lights up our world
and we enjoy seeing her grow and learn new things each
day.

I delivered my son
Oliver at St. Agnes on May 6th, 2007. Although
my beautiful son and I are closer than ever now—I
suffered from severe Post Partum Depression for several
months after his birth. I didn’t know that
I was experiencing it at the time, which needless to
say, made it difficult for me to feel good about myself
and the mother that I wasn’t. READ

We are the Heitzers.
I was born at St. Agnes as well as my two beautiful girls.
I was born 3-12-84. Jaden Lynn was born 4-17-03. And
Adriana Nicole was born 4-10-07 by emergency c section.
The doctors that delivered her didn't know what went
wrong, but had her out and taken care of so fast. They
did such a great job on me as well as her. I had a very
good experience. Thank you for all. |

I can attest to the
fact that the nurses and techs in the maternity
center truly spoil their patients! From the enlightening
prenatal classes to a farewell hug as I checked out of
the hospital, their service made the birth of my first
child a memorable occasion. Their comforting words,
patient manner, and supreme organization, during the
delivery and recovery, have made me forever grateful. |
Julie
Young, mother of Alyssa Young
St. Agnes provided
a wonderful birthing experience. The labor and
delivery staff were patient and supportive, and the maternity
nurses were kind and attentive. My OB (Dr. Bhatnagar)
did an excellent job of getting this first time mom through
the process. At 9 months, my daughter Alyssa is happy,
healthy and thriving! |

My son (1st child)
Wayne was born at the old St. Agnes. I worked construction
by Consolidated Engineering at the new St. Agnes. Thanks
for delivering my son and keeping food on my table during
this construction. My job was field engineering. |

Schafferman
I am a single parent
of a daughter Nicole Schafferman who will turn a 26 on
January 13, 1982. She was born when there was a
blizzard in ’82. It has been snowing for a week
when I went into labor and proceeded to St. Agnes Hospital.
The care I received then was excellent. My doctor,
Dr. Grumbine, had to come to the hospital in a snow mobile.
That showed the dedication of the doctor. I am writing
my story for the gratitude I have for the OB/GYN department. READ

I would like to share my story
about the wonderful, and life saving, treatment I received
from the doctors, nurses, and staff at the St. Agnes Cancer
Center. In May 2002, I was diagnosed with cancer and was immediately
rushed into the whole process of setting up medical appointments
and scheduling cancer treatments. As I look back on
it now, the process was just what the doctors, nurses, and
the entire staff in your Cancer Center was trained for and
it was amazing to see the coordination, dedication, professionalism,
and attention to every detail with which they handled my personal
situation. READ

October
2006 began my journey with cancer. There were endless
people associated with St. Agnes who helped me along that journey.
Beginning with the out-patient department, to the Women's Center,
to the in-patient department, and ending at the Cancer Center
all those you meet make you feel as if you matter. Even
people you never meet, from the labs, the laundry, the kitchen,
painters and cleaning staff show their concern by the professional
way they accomplish their job. Each day I arrived at St Agnes
I was alone. But I left
with all the good wishes of friends who were with me during what
became an adventure. Pick
one person to be recognized—just not possible. |

I
want to thank my Social Worker in Cancer Services. She was an
Angel to me. She helped me to find answers to any problem, I
mean any problem. She always had smile for my dear husband and
me. There was always hugs and hand holding without asking. If
there was anyone dedicated to her job, it was Jennifer (Broaddus).
I don’t know what I would have done without her kindness,
her warmth, her gentleness. I thank God for her every day. My
dear husband passed away and Jennifer attended his memorial,
just to feel her hug and her warm smile gave me comfort. I will
thank her in my prayers and I thank God that He put her in my
path. |

Dr.
Enser Cole has been my oncologist since my first diagnosis
with breast cancer 22 years ago. He monitored my health every
three months from its onset. During this time, before
leaving the country to pursue other career goals, he was caring
and knowledgeable. I didn't need a primary doctor, he would
refer to a specialist for other health issues if needed. I
was most pleased when Dr. Cole returned to the United States
and I learned that he was at St. Agnes and that he would see
former patients. I feel extremely confident to be under the
care of Dr. Cole. He communicates with other doctors and advises
me regarding my health concerns. I have the utmost respect
for Dr. Cole. St. Agnes is fortunate to have him on its staff. |

I,
Edith W. Schultz, give thanks for the many caring doctors and
nurses. I am in my 5th year of recovery for breast cancer.
Couldn’t have done it without the loving care of the
dear Lord and the family and friends along the way. Richard
my husband passed away 9/11/07 with bladder cancer. He is the
Angel now looking down. He truly was loved by all “the
Angel on Earth” to many. Many thanks especially Dr. S.

My journey with St.
Agnes begins on that horrible day when I was told I had
breast cancer. From the very beginnig I could not have
been in the hands of more caring people. It was with
Dr. Grace's guidance that directed me to Dr. Merchant,
Dr. Griffiths, and Dr. Hudes, the best team I could have
ever had. READ

This
story actually begins in October 2006. I had
a chest X-ray & a mass was discovered. Many tests
were taken before the team came to a diagnosis of a Carcinoid
Tumor in the upper right lung. Needless to say I was
terrified. I was referred to Dr. Gavin Henry and his
assistant Tricia Roesch, CRNP in the Cancer Center. READ

In
1994, I was diagnosed with Stage IIIB inflammatory breast
cancer (IBC), subsequently treated with chemo, bilateral
mastectomy, HDC and bone marrow transplant and radiation.
I had absolutely the best people around me and 15 years later
am still here having fun. Thank you St. Agnes and Dr. Setya
et al for your caring. |

My
story starts around Oct. of last year when I noticed a lump
on my butt. I have hemorrhoids so I just thought that they
were getting bigger and used over the counter medicines to
treat them. But they kept getting bigger and more painful.

I
was a 42-year-old cancer patient who is petrified of needles.
As most people do, I also had a lot of other issues besides
the cancer. Nurse Linda Gardener made me feel special each
time I went for treatment and still does years after treatment.
She sat down with me one day and just talked and hugged me.
All the workers in the cancer center really show that they
care about the patients. They don’t just administer
medicine! READ

I was diagnosed with Breast
Cancer in Feb. 2007. I chose St. Agnes Cancer Center for my
Doctor and my treatment. Dr. Diana Griffiths is my oncologist.
She is the greatest. She made me feel good about my cancer.
She talked to me about everything that would happen with my
treatment and the side effects I might have. She has just been
so wonderful through everything I have gone through. READ

I possibly had a scary diagnosis
of cancer. Dr. Gavin Henry and his staff were very professional
and yet were friendly, warm and helpful. Dr. Rifino (my primary)
and her staff were the same way. She matched me up with
a specialist who would get me through a rough time. Your
doctors make me feel like I am in safe hands. |

Those Wonderful Golden
Years!! Yes, my wife and I looked forward to those years
only to find sickness, legs that don’t work well
and the inability to go places and do things. Following
a 6-07-06 operation to clear my left lung cavity of fluid
caused by pneumonia, Dr. Henry’s team found a non-Hodgekins
lymphoma. Lucky me!! Thanks to the receptionists and waiting
room people I began to feel a little better. READ

cancer. READ

I received outstanding
information, medical treatment, and nursing care during
my 31-hour stay at St. Agnes for a mastectomy. The young
night-time attendant was especially helpful and kind. I
wish all hospital stays were as pleasant—and the
food was good. My family was equally impressed, particularly
with the multi-discipline pre-op and dress rehearsal preparation
meetings. Thank you Dr. Viney R. Setya and Mary Campano,

Durham
My name is Maria Durham and
on December 27th 2007 I came into the ER for ABD pain. I was
admitted and the next day I became gravely ill. I was placed
on 5 North. I went into respiratory distress and was transferred
to AICU. I am writing this letter to let you know how grateful
I am to have been placed in the care of Dr. Shah and his residents.
They saved my life with the help of God guiding them. They
were very polite and address my concerns no matter how many
times my family or myself asked. READ

On
February 2, 2007, my husband brought me to the Emergency Room. Erin
Harless, R.N. took charge and took care of me. I was
close to death, but she stepped up and was an exceptional nurse. She
also comforted my family through this very hard situation. All
nurses need to be like her. I thank her from the bottom of

Of
the 3 times I was in the hospital since September 6th, I was
on 7 North. All the nurses who saw to my care were excellent. But
the two who stand out the most are Elaine and Leona. Not only
did they care for me, but they also cared for my wife, tending
to our every need. These nurses took me under their wings
and helped me when I needed it most. Thankfully, I am now home
and my wife has taken over as a caregiver. Thank: Dr. Justin
Somerville and the Nurses on 7 North. |

October 15th, I went to the emergency room at St. Agnes. Dr

caring and helped calm my fears of an impending stroke. Fortunately,
it was not. |

I
have been a patient at St. Agnes many times. I had 2 children
there but also had 3 miscarriages and was treated there also.
Dr. Tom Jones was there for the good times and bad times. Dr.
Jones was always so kind and patient through my rough periods. I
don't think he ever realized that when I lost a baby when I was
five months pregnant his manner helped make the ordeal manageable.

I
was admitted to St. Agnes Surgery Dept. on 6/11/07 for a lower
left lobectomy. I was very apprehensive (first major surgery
ever). Dr. Gavin Henry and Nurse Patricia Roesch put me totally
at ease after operation with wonderful care and asurance that
I would be fine if obeying post-op patient instructions. Since
then everything has worked out fine and I am on my way to a
full recovery. I had great care by the nurses and team, good
meals and a very pleasant stay. Thanks again. |
