Foundation: Grants

The St. Agnes Foundation is organized and operated exclusively for the charitable, scientific, educational and religious purposes of fostering the mission of St. Agnes Hospital and Ascension Health by supporting and encouraging the delivery of health care and medical, human and related services, by providing financing and fundraising assistance, and in all other relevant ways. Specifically, the Foundation is organized and shall be operated exclusively to aid, assist and confer benefits on, and to perform functions of, St. Agnes Hospital.

Funding will be considered based on the following grant request requirements:

  1. Supports the Foundation Mission Statement
    • Assists, advances and strengthens St. Agnes Hospital.
    • Supports:
      1. Medical education.
      2. Health care services.
      3. Humanitarian endeavors.
  2. Supports the St. Agnes Hospital Strategic Plan
    • Expand geographic reach and market share.
    • Be known for, and attract patients to, Centers of Excellence.
    • Increase physician and patient preference through excellent service, especially in regards to nursing care.
    • Strengthen physician relationships and trust through meaningful collaboration.
    • Attract and retain highly qualified and committed associates.
  3. Critical Considerations
    • Proposal addresses problem to be solved.
    • Proposal identifies population or services area to be affected.
    • Proposal incorporates an evaluation method that can demonstrate outcomes.
    • Other agencies or institutions are involved in and support the project.
  4. Uses Resources Responsibly
    • Demonstrates good stewardship of resources (highest and best use of donors’ gifts).
    • Project will become financially self-sufficient.
    • Promotes programs that can be replicated.
