Emergency Care

St. Agnes has one of the busiest emergency rooms in the state with more than 80,000 visits per year.

It is important for any nurse who joins our team to practice a unique mix of skills: the ability to think on their feet to bring the special qualities of grace and compassion into every patient interaction, no matter what the pace.

Our Emergency Services Department features:

  • A seven-bed dedicated chest pain ED—the nation’s first and a model for cardiac care that has been adopted throughout the United States
  • A 22-bed main ED
  • Dedicated pediatric 10-bed ED
  • An eight-bed urgent care ED
