Become a Volunteer
St. Agnes volunteers are an important part of the
hospital’s mission
to provide compassionate care and community outreach. Our team of
volunteers provides invaluable service in both clinical and non-clinical
areas. All prospective volunteers are required to complete an application,
interview and screening process. People volunteer at St. Agnes
for a number of reasons, including:
- To give back to the community
- To make good use of their spare time
- To learn new skills
- To learn more about a medical career
- For mentoring opportunities
- To show their gratitude for care provided to themselves or a loved-one
- To fulfill high school service hours
In addition to the satisfaction of helping others, benefits to volunteering
include:
- Free tuberculosis screening
- Skills training
- Companionship
- A free meal for more than four hours of service per day
- Discount on hospital stay
- Eligibility for membership in hospital credit union
- Recommendations
- Flu shots when available
